The release was named one of the “Top 50 Albums of 2016” by American Songwriter
“Bonnie Raitt still lives in a groover’s paradise, a place where guitar slides get greasy and dancing is foreplay,” American Songwriter declares. “And with tracks like her cover of INXS’ ‘Need You Tonight,’ she turns the temperature up to red-hot. But she remains adept at cool-toned pop like ‘I Knew.’”

Entertainment Weekly was also a fan of the album, proclaiming that Dig In Deep captures the “propulsive live energy” of Raitt and her longtime touring band. EW’s review praises Raitt’s choice of covers but says that it’s the original tunes “where Raitt’s signature rasp and world-weary perspective cut deepest.”

In addition to headlining North America, New Zealand and Australia in 2017, Raitt also teamed up with James Taylor for a number of shows.

She returns to the road for the “Dig In Deep Tour 2018” starting March 15 at the City National Civic in San Jose. The Golden State outing includes shows in Redding, Arcata, Santa Ynez, Indio and Temecula. Raitt is also playing a benefit at Oakland’s Fox Theater to support victims of the Northern California wildfires via the Tipping Point Fire Relief Fund.
A presale through Raitt’s website begins Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. PST. Wednesday is also your first chance to get Special Benefit Seats (SBS). Additional presales are scheduled Dec. 6 and 7. Tickets go on sale to the general public Dec. 8.
Box office reports submitted to Pollstar in 2017 include sell-out shows in Billings, Mont.; Winnipeg, Manitoba; Ottawa, Ontario; and Honolulu, Hawaii, with an average gross of more than $120,500.
