Concert Pulse: Neil Diamond, Marc Anthony, Father John Misty
While the Stones are still on top with an average gross of $10 million, Neil Diamond hits the Pollstar Global Concert Pulse chart at No. 10, with an average 12,129 tickets grossing $1.35 million per night.

He’s joined by chart newcomers Marc Anthony (10,722 tickets, $1.04 million) at No. 14, Father John Misty at No. 62 ($114,578, 2,754), Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue (1,990, $75,847), Cody Johnson at No. 99 ($33,840, 1,513), and LANY at No. 100 with 1,492 tickets sold per night and $33,675.
Neil Diamond has been on a tear, with the bulk of his shows over the last three months overseas.
Reports submitted to Pollstar include Oct. 17 and Oct. 19 at The O2 in London, which sold a combined 26,326 tickets and grossed $3.12 million. Other big tallies include Oct. 1 at Manchester Arena, which sold 13,132 tickets and grossed $1.61 million, Sept. 28 at Antwerp Sportpaleis in Belgium (15,309, $1.39 million), and Arena Birmingham in England Oct. 13, which sold 12,389 tickets and grossed $1.51 million. Average ticket price to see the ageless 76-year-old was $111.36.
Pollstar’s Global Concert Pulse ranks each artist by its average boxoffice gross per city worldwide and is based on data reported within the last three months. All figures in U.S. dollars.
Neil did a lengthy run through north American arenas this Spring through summer, and was already No. 46 on Pollstar’s 3Q Year End Top 100 Tours chart, with 404,790 tickets sold at the time.
Marc Anthony wasn’t far behind, at No. 14. His recent shows include North American arenas like Philips Arena in Atlanta Nov. 12 (10,509, $1.15 million), Forum in Inglewood Oct. 8 (15,004, $1.82 million), SAP Center in San Jose Oct. 6 (9,527, $1 million), and Madison Square Garden Aug. 26, which sold 15,620 tickets and grossed $1.58 million.

Still on top are The Rolling Stones, with the $10 million average gross and 62,945 tickets per night from its No Filter European tour. Despite U2 selling more tickets per night, at 69,801 to the Stones’ 62,945, the band’s ticket price is significantly less – with an average $117.27 to see U2 and $158 to see the Stones.
Father John Misty, the critics darling singer-songwriter who dropped the Pure Comedy LP in January, is No. 62 and new to the chart this week. He’s been playing theatres and large clubs including two shows at the Bass Concert hall in Austin, Sept. 29 and Oct. 2, which sold a combined 40,23 tickets and grossed $184,144.
Other big shows include 5,322 tickets at the Greek Theatre at UC Berkeley Oct. 7, which grossed $239,580 and the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, which sold out at 2,255 tickets grossing $99,955. Average ticket price to see FJM was $41.59.
