Lil Peep Death Determined Accidental

Up-and-coming rapper Lil Peep died unexpectedly before a show in Tucson, Ariz. Nov. 15, and a toxicology report was released Dec. 8 confirming the death was related to a combination of prescription drugs.

The Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner ruled Lil Peep’s death was accidental in its report, and said he had mixed pain medication fentanyl and the anxiety-treating alprazolam, which led to his death.

The young artist had built a loyal following on SoundCloud and was just beginning to reap the benefits of his hard work with a tour routing that had already seen him complete a headline gigs at House of Blues New Orleans, Echo in Los Angeles, and O2 Academy Islington in London, as well as an appearance at

“We are truly heartbroken over the tragic passing of Lil Peep,” Cara Lewis Group told Pollstar in a statement after the artist’s passing. “He was so full of life and just beginning his promising career. Lil Peep touched everyone he met and had a profound bond with his fans. Lil Peep was a beloved client and we will miss him dearly.”

His debut album, Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 1 came out in August and friends, colleagues and family mourned the loss of the budding star.
