Scott Clayton’s WME Roster Takes Shape
When agent Scott Clayton moved from CAA Nashville to WME last month, it wasn’t clear which – if any – of his clients might make the move with him. His roster is becoming a bit clearer, with Dead & Company, My Morning Jacket, Train, and Kings of Leon among them.

Also on Clayton’s WME roster are The Record Company (with Buster Phillips, who also came over from CAA, as co-RA), and MMJ’s Jim James and Carl Broemel for solo representation, Pollstar has confirmed.
It’s not known if other artists Clayton has worked with will follow, but the acts who have signed with Clayton at WME represent a substantial start.
Over the last three years, Dead & Company have averaged concert grosses of $1.6 million per show; Kings of Leon, $543,000; Train, $265,110; and My Morning Jacket, $140,610.
Clayton, who is also a member of Nashville’s Music City Council, is nominated for the Bobby Brooks Award at the upcoming Pollstar Awards, which take place at The Wiltern in Los Angeles Feb. 8.
