The Steve Miller Band is headed to Canada next year for a headline tour to support his Ultimate Hits album. Peter Frampton is coming along as a special guest.
The run kicks off April 14 in Victoria, British Columbia’s Save On Foods Memorial Centre and continues for two weeks, actually wrapping up with a pair of shows stateside in Sioux Falls, S.D., and New Town, N.D., April 26 and 28 respectively. Other Canadian cities on the routing include Calgary, Alberta; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Presales for select dates begin Weds., Dec. 13 through American Express and more presales begin Dec. 14. General onsales for most dates begin Dec. 15.
More dates are being promised soon, along with further album release and compilation information. Ultimate Hits is available now and includes live versions of “Space Cowboy” and “Living In The U.S.A.” Even Miller will have a hard time topping William Shatner’s cover of the former track with
Steve has been on the road throughout 2017, with sold out gigs reported in Clearwater, Fla.; Huntsville, Ala.; Bend, Ore.; Troutdale, Ore.; Costa Mesa, Calif.; and two packed houses at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium. Those Ryman gigs, March 24-25, reported a gross of $306,685 and moved a reported 4,490 tickets for both shows combined, with tickets going between $46.50 – $86.50.
