The tour marks the first time the bands have shared a stage since Live Aid in 1985.

The tour begins Aug. 4 with a show at the Kent Event Centre in Maidstone, Kent. The rock bands will stop in 12 U.K. cities before wrapping up in Dundee, Scotland, Sept. 9. Simple Minds and KT Tunstall will play a show without The Pretenders Aug. 11 at Millennium Square in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Simple Minds is also embarking on a separate European run in support of its new album, Walk Between Worlds. That routing begins Feb. 13.

The band wrapped up a spring routing earlier this year, which sold an average of 1,606 tickets per show with an average gross of more than $100,000, according to Pollstar‘s box office reports.
