Lady Gaga has added Las Vegas to her grand plan.
Promoted by MGM Resorts and Live Nation, the pop star’s two-year special engagement at Park Theatre at Park MGM launches in December 2018.
Gaga is the latest A-list artist to book some serious quality time at Park Theater.
The news comes just after Gaga completed the North American leg of her “Joanne” world tour. Although Pollstar’s stellar Box Office Department is still crunching numbers, we can tell you that the arena shows were almost all sellouts that averaged approximately $2.48 million per gig. So far, the tour has a total gross of $81,812,681 for the North America run, a figure that should climb even more once the remaining shows are added to the mix.
Alex Dolan – Inking The Deal
Lady Gaga and MGM Resorts International president Bill Hornbuckle celebrate the artist’s two-year deal to perform at Park Theater at Park MGM.
Of course, Gaga is very excited about her Vegas plans.
“It’s the land of Elvis, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra, the Rat Pack, Elton John, Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli,” Gaga said in a statement. “It has been a life-long dream of mine to play Las Vegas. I am humbled to be a part of a historical line-up of performers, and to have the honor of creating a new show unlike anything Vegas has ever seen before. I’ll tell you exactly what I told my MGM and Park Theater partners – you can count on this performer always for one thing … I’ll leave my heart on the stage every single night. Thank you to my fans for always believing in me. Meet me in Las Vegas baby, we did it!”
One thing Gaga and Park Theater did not include was the actual play dates and ticket information, but today’s announcement promises that vital information will be released “in the coming months.” Best to keep an eye on Pollstar’s Lady Gaga page for when that intel surfaces.
