Featuring headliners Eminem, The Killers and Jack White, the 2018 edition of Boston Calling is sure to give fans some early 2000s nostalgia.
Set Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-27, at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston, the event features 54 performances across three stages.
The genre-spanning lineup, once again curated by The National’s Aaron Dessner, also includes Queens Of The Stone Age, The National, Paramore, Tyler, The Creator, St. Vincent and Fleet Foxes.
The festival confirmed a Natalie Portman-curated “series of special programming” for its comedy and entertainment lineup. Boston Calling promised a Portman film experience for last year’s event, but it was canceled. The comedy and entertainment lineup also boasts comedians including Jenny Slate, Bridgett Everett and Cameron Esposito, in addition to appearances by the Pod Save America and Lovett or Leave It podcasts.
Early Bird tickets are on sale now for $279. Regularly priced tickets at $289 will go on sale after Early Bird tickets sell out.
Eminem has already been announced to headline Coachella this year. The rapper is expected to unveil a tour of his own soon. The last set of Eminem concerts reported to Pollstar were two co-headlining shows with Rihanna at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. in 2014. Both shows sold out and collectively grossed more than $12 million, according to Pollstar’s box office reports.
The Killers have un upcoming tour beginning Jan. 1. The band recently completed a brief U.K. run that grossed $8.3 million and sold 109,515 tickets.
Jack White, who is confirmed for this year’s Governors Ball, played his last tour in in 2015. Highlights from that routing include a sold-out show at New York’s Madison Square Garden that grossed $770,638.
