One Offs: Stray Cats To Reunite
Debbie VanStory / rockinexposures.com – Stray Cats

They’re not talking tour nor are they alluding to other plans, but the original members of the Stray Cats are reuniting for one performance in April.
Credited with introducing rockabilly to a young MTV generation during the early 1980s, the Stray Cats – guitarist/singer Brian Setzer, upright bassist Lee Rocker and drummer Slim Jim Phantom – burst on the scene in 1982 with “Stray Cat Strut” and continued to rack up the hits with singles like “Rock This Town” and “(She’s Sexy) +17.”
Now the boys have touched up their tattoos and greased up their pompadours for at least one night of Stray Cat prowling. The April 21 performance will be at the Orleans Hotel in Las Vegas where the band will grace the stage at the Viva Las Vegas Car Show, on a lineup that also boast rockabilly legends Jerry Lee Lewis and Duane Eddy.
While members of the Stray Cats have appeared at past Viva Las Vegas Car Shows, the April gig will mark the first time the band has rocked the event.
Of course, you get cars, too. Lots of cars. The VLV Car Show features up to 1,000 classic automobiles.
Tickets are on sale now.
