Spectra by Comcast Spectacor has entered a partnership with Nashville-based promotion companies National Shows 2 (NS2) and 191 Touring to bring more concerts to the Sandler Center For The Performing Arts in Virginia Beach, Va.

Spectra provides venue management to the Sandler Center.

“We are excited to be partnering with some of the industry’s best,” Spectra’s Davis Semon, GM for the Sandler Center, said in a statement. “The Sandler Center has been producing world-class events for the past ten years and this partnership will enable us to increase the number of quality performances here at the theatre for years to come.”

On average, the 1,308-capacity venue sells 1,031 tickets each concert, with a typical gross of $50,209, according to Pollstar’s box office reports. The venue has hosted shows by several artists in recent years, including a sold-out concert by Jackson Browne, which grossed $83,608; a near sell-out by The Beach Boys, which grossed $63,069; and a show by Buddy Guy, which grossed $66,334.

Formed in 2010, NS2 promotes a wide array of genres, including full-length tours and one-off concerts. The company has presented shows by Art Garfunkel, Lee Ann Womack, Lyle Lovett and Patty Griffin in Virginia Beach. NS2 has relationships with the Carolina Theatre of Durham in Durham, N.C., Charleston Music Hall in Charleston, S.C., and the CMA Theater at Country Music Hall Of Fame Museum in Nashville.

“We’ve sought opportunities to create sustainable partnerships throughout our history of promoting shows in Virginia, and I’m honored to partner with Sandler Center,” Darin Lashinsky, CEO of NS2, said in a statement.

Shows promoted by 191 Touring include artists such as Dustin Lynch, Dwight Yoakam, Casting Crowns and MercyMe. The company recently promoted Lee Brice and Justin Moore tours.

“We’re excited for the considerable potential of this partnership and to work with the award-winning staff of NS2 and the Sandler Center,” 191 Touring President Brock Jones said in a statement.

Co-promoted shows currently booked for the venue include Travis Tritt Jan. 12 and Yanni May 9.

The Sandler Center celebrated its 10th anniversary in October.
