In addition to confirming dates and venues to go along with the cities announced last week for the “Still The Same” tour, Sugarland revealed that Brandy Clark, Clare Bowen, Frankie Ballard and Lindsay Ell will open select shows.
Marking Sugarland’s first tour since 2012, the trek kicks off May 4 at the Choctaw Grand Theatre in Durant, Okla. The “Still The Same” outing features gigs in cities across the U.S., as well as two nights at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Ontario, July 6-7.
Stops include Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., June 1; Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay June 16; Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Aug. 2; and Iowa State Fair in Des Moines, Iowa. Naturally, Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush are also playing Sugar Land, Texas – July 21 at the Smart Financial Center.
Clark and Bowen appear May 25 through June 30, as well as July 12-14. Ballard and Ell open July 19 through Aug. 24, as well as Aug. 30 through Sept. 8. The Ontario show and July 8 in Verona, N.Y., at Turning Stone Resort only feature Clark opening. Ballard is the only opener for the Aug. 25 gig at the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island.
“We are thrilled to head back out on the road together as this has been a long time coming for the both of us!” Nettles said in a statement. “And to have Brandy, Clare, Frankie and Lindsay join us will make our return really special.”

“Can’t wait to get back out there and share our new music with the best fans on earth!” Bush added. “It will be great to hear everyone singing the old favorites along with us all summer.”
As previously announced, a fan presale began Jan. 9. VIP packages also went on sale today, offering fans the opportunity to meet Sugarland, attend a pre-show VIP sound check, access to exclusive tour lithographs and more. Tickets go on sale to the general public Jan. 12 at 10 a.m. local time.
The “Still The Same” tour shares its name with Sugarland’s latest single. Sugarland’s most recent studio album is its fifth, 2010’s The Incredible Machine. The duo continued supporting the album with its 2012 tour, which grossed an average of $325,151 per show, according to box office reports submitted to Pollstar.
