Davenport was arrested in Little Rock, Ark., in December for his role in the telemarketing firm American Standard, which reportedly bilked 100,000 people by fraudulently listing properties on sites like Craigslist at low prices and charging a $199 fee to show “complete property information,” and accepting mortgage payments, according to the Santa Barbara Independent

Davenport’s attorney Alan Karow said he will assert a “vigorous defense” for his client.

He and the sales manager for American Standard, Cynthia Rawlinson, are charged with wire and mail fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. If convicted of all charges the defendants could face more than 50 years in prison.
