Rock superstar Jon Bon Jovi and SB Projects founder and manager extraordinaire Scooter Braun will take part in a roundtable discussion on Feb 7 at the Pollstar Live! conference entitled “One Song at a Time: How to Change the World.” Here, these influential figures will discuss the music business and live music’s altruistic ability to provide financial aid, influence culture and lift spirits in tumultuous times.

The panel is part of the 29th annual conference scheduled Feb. 6-8 at the InterContinental Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

This ambitious session, “aspires to leave us both informed and inspired,” said Tim Leiweke, CEO of Oak View Group, parent company for Pollstar. “As was proven time and time again in 2017, music artists and executives are among the very first to step up and lend a hand or raise awareness after tragedies and disasters. Pollstar Live! is proud to host humanitarians and visionaries like Jon Bon Jovi and Scooter Braun, who are serving as agents of positive change and making a difference through music.”
Jon Bon Jovi’s philanthropic work includes establishing the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation in 2006, which focuses on long-lasting solutions to hunger and homelessness. The charity has provided support for more than 500 units of affordable and supportive housing in 10 states for thousands of people including youth and veterans.

Bon Jovi recently announced dates for the spring leg of its “This House Is Not For Sale” trek. A touring power house, the band has frequently topped Pollstar charts, and in 2013 had the top tour of the year based on ticket sales.

Braun’s SB Projects is a diversified entertainment and media company with ventures at the intersection of music, film, television, technology, brands, culture and social good. Justin Bieber, Kanye West, and Ariana Grande are just a few of the artists under Braun’s roster of management, record label and publishing companies.

The talent manager and entrepreneur continues to give back, with a philanthropic element for each new initiative. Last year Braun helped bring the music industry together in times of extreme crisis by organizing the “One Love Manchester” benefit concert in June to help victims of the Manchester Arena bombing, followed by “Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief” telethon in September.
Braun, who also serves on the boards of Pencils of Promise and FuckCancer, is being honored at Midem as the event’s first-ever recipient of the “Midem Hall of Fame Award” in recognition for his outstanding contribution to the music industry and to creativity as a whole.

Braun and Bon Jovi join an impressive group sharing ideas at Pollstar Live!, including country superstar Garth Brooks, Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino, Apple Music tech guru Eddy Cue, Facebook’s Head of Music Partnerships Jonathan Hull, CAA’s Jenna Adler, Mark Cuban and more.
