Snoop Dogg To Lead Okeechobee’s PoWoW!

Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival revealed its hip-hop, soul and funk–centric lineup for its annual PoWoW.
The PoWoW is a collaboration that brings top artists together for jam session during the Okeechobee Music And Arts Festival, set March 1-4 at the Sunshine Grove in Okeechobee, Fla.
Snoop Dogg leads the evening and will perform with various special guests, including The Roots, Joey Bada$$, Chaka Khan, Trombone Shorty, Cory Henry and Big Gigantic saxophonist Dominic Lalli. Additional guests are expected to be announced.
The festival’s main lineup has already been revealed and includes headliners Arcade Fire, Bassnectar, Halsey and Travis Scott.
Snoop Dogg completed a tour last spring, which grossed more than $3 million and sold more than 72,000 tickets, according to reports submitted to Pollstar’s Box Office. Highlights include a sold-out concert at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, selling 11,843 tickets and grossing $544,715, and a co-headlining date with Wiz Khalifa at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Col., grossing $615,064 and moving 9,145 tickets.
The Roots had a few dates of its own last year, including a four-day residency with Dave Chappelle at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, which sold 22,744 tickets and grossed nearly $2.7 million.
Joey Bada$$ was the support for Logic’s 2017 summer tour. The last report submitted to Pollstar for the rapper was a sold-out show Oct. 30 at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin, Ireland, grossing $59,121 and selling 1,564 tickets.
