Aaron Carter Reveals Feb.-March Road Trip

Armed with his first new album in 15 years, Aaron Carter will embark on a month-long road trip beginning on the East Coast in late February.  Destinations include Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Pontiac, Mich.; and Columbus, Ohio.

Carter’s new album, LøVë, drops Feb. 16.  “Don’t Say Goodbye” is the album’s first single.  Arriving last week, the song attracted nearly 1 million streams and landed on the Spotify U.S. Viral Chart where it snagged prime placement on Spotify’s New Music Friday and Weekly Buzz playlists.

The man who grew up supporting his big brother Nick’s group, The Backstreet Boys and once opened for Britney Spears opens his first tour of 2018 at the Debonair Music Hall in Teaneck, N.J.  The routing includes Pittsburgh’s Hard Rock Café, Philly’s Voltage, and Daryl’s House in Pawling, N.Y.

Carter’s new album and tour marks a turnaround from last year when he was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana.

“For me, it’s all about the music,” Carter said in a statement.  “And if there is one lesson I’ve learned this [last] year, it’s not to dwell on the past, but to live for the future.  ‘Don’t Say Goodbye’ encompasses everything I went through last year.  I am so grateful to my fans and look forward to sharing this deeply personal music which came from the inner core of my heart and soul.”

Carter’s box office history has its peaks and valleys, ranging from a gig last year in Montana that reported only 40-plus fans to sold-out performances in places like Madison, Wis., and Boulder, Colo., in 2013.  Of dates reported to Pollstar, Carter’s ticket sales for the past two years averaged just under 50 percent per night.
