Bruno Mars Is Going To China
Charles Sykes/Invision/AP – Bruno & His New Friends
Bruno Mars poses in the press room with his awards for best R&B album, record of the year, album of the year, best engineered album, non-classical, for “24K Magic,” and song of the year, best R&B performance and best R&B song, for “That’s What I Like” at the 60th annual Grammy Awards at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Fresh from his sensational night at the 60th annual Grammys where the pop superstar snagged six awards, Bruno Mars will spread some of that “24k Magic” in China when he plays Shanghai in April.
Presented by Live Nation, Mars’ world tour in support of his 24k Magic album will stop at Shanghai’s Mercedes-Benz Arena April 21.
The Mercedes-Benz Arena has hosted many Western stars, including Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Muse, Adam Lambert, Ariana Grande and Imagine Dragons. The venue was No. 30 on Pollstar’s 2017 Year End Worldwide Ticket Sales Top 200 chart with a reported 516,488 tickets sold that year.
There was plenty of 24k Magic at Sunday night’s Grammy Awards where Mars won all six awards he was nominated for, including album, record and song of the year. Do you suppose he’ll bring his shiny new Grammys to China with him?
Tickets go on sale Feb. 5. Follow Pollstar’s Bruno Mars page for further tour additions.
