Recording Engineer Jimmy Robinson Dies

 Jimmy Robinson, a recording engineer who worked with Bob Welch, Buddy Miles, David Bowie, and Jimi Hendrix, to name a few, died last month. He was 67.

Robinson, as a member of The Nowhere Men, was playing a gig at The Cellar Door in Washington, D.C., when he met Buddy Miles. Through Miles, he worked a few gigs at the Record Plant in NYC and was eventually hired as an assistant engineer, according to a statement.

From there, Robinson worked as an engineer and consultant for various companies including Electric Lady Studios, MTV, Chun King Studios, Sony Music for Tommy Mottola and Robinsonโ€™s own studio, Ear Candy Audio, Inc
