aLIVE Coverage – Luke Bryan
Luke Bryan plays to a sea of fans during “Crash My Playa” at Barcelo Maya Beach Resort in Quintana Roo, Mexico, Jan. 18.
Luke Bryan’s “What Makes You Country” adds another stadium to the routing. The country star, along with Sam Hunt plus special guests Jon Pardi and Morgan Wallen, will play Boston’s Fenway Park this summer.
July 6 is the evening Bryan will play beneath the shadow of Fenway’s infamous Green Monster. The newly announced gig is the latest in Bryan’s XL “Stadium Sized” plan. Previously announced stadium shows include June 2 at MetLife Stadium in E. Rutherford, N.J., June 16 at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, June 23 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa and July 28 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
Bryan is no stranger to playing stadiums. His two sold-out nights at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., in July 2016 moved more than 76,000 tickets for a $5.7 million total gross. The numbers for his single August 2016 evening at Chicago’s Wrigley Field were equally impressive with 41,819 fans buying tickets, making for a $4.45 million gross.
Tickets for Bryan’s Fenway Park show go on sale March 9 at 10 a.m. EST. Be sure to follow Pollstar’s Luke Bryan page for further updates.
