Joshua Williams filed suit in Los Angeles March 1 against Jhene Aiko, her LLC and 100 unnamed persons who he believes are responsible for not paying him for expenses and services on a 2017 tour.
The suit, obtained by Pollstar through Radar Online, claims Williams was hired by Aiko to work as her road/tour manager in 2017 and for a November appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” but that the artist didn’t have enough money to pay her own bills on the road, so their agreement stipulated he would cover expenses on tour and she would pay him back at a later date.
Williams is now claiming he has neither been paid the $16,000 nor reimbursed the $53,826 he is owed. He is suing for that total of $69,826 plus legal fees and 10 percent interest.
The Blast is reporting that Aiko’s team suspects fraud and is conducting an investigation.
