Jack White Cooks Up A March Hat Trick
John Davisson – Jack White
Farm Aid, Walnut Creek Amphitheatre, Raleigh, N.C.
Jack White has slotted three shows – two in the U.S. and one in the U.K. – in celebration of the release of his third solo album.
Boarding House Reach arrives March 23, a date that falls in the middle of White’s three-show tour. The gigs are March 20 at The Mayan in Los Angeles; March 23 at Warsaw in Brooklyn, and March 28 at The Garage in London.
Other than two “Live First Listen” events held at White’s Third Man Records in Nashville this week, the shows will be the first time White plays his new songs in a concert environment and introduce fans to his new band – Carla Azar (drums), Quincy McCrary and Neal Evans (keyboards), and Dominic Davis (guitar).
Presales for Third Man Records Vault members for shows in Los Angeles and London get underway March 16. Members living in the L.A. or London areas will receive unique codes via email. General onsales begin following the presales.
Beats By Dre will hold extra fan experiences for the L.A. gig, including a listening station for folks to experience Boarding House Reach on Beats Solo3 Wireless – Third Man Records limited edition headphones.
Unique codes are being emailed to Third Man Records Vault members as well as Governors Ball ticket holders for the presale beginning March 19 at 10 a.m. EDT and running until March 20 at 10 p.m. EDT., for the Brooklyn show. The general onsale begins March 21 at 10 a.m. EDT.
A trip down Pollstar Boxoffice memory lane shows White playing all sizes of venues. For example, his January 30, 2015 Madison Square Garden Arena show was a sell-out, moving 14,579 tickets for a $770,638 gross. He played the Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas five nights later, selling out the 2,232-capacity venue and grossing $159,588 for an evening’s work.
