Animal Collective’s fourth studio album, Sung Tongs, will get the front-to-back treatment when the band launches its world tour, beginning in Europe in June and coming to North America in July.

The tour features two of the band’s members.  Avey Tare (David Portner) and Panda Bear (Noah Lennox) appeared on Sung Tongs and will be in Animal Collective’s touring lineup.

Animal Collective has performed Sung Tongs only once – Pitchfork’s 21st birthday party in New York in 2017.

The routing shows Animal Collective playing U.K. and Europe locales such as London, Paris, Barcelona and Athens.  One month later finds the band in North America, starting at Town Hall in New York July 20 and wrapping in Los Angeles July 31.  Stops in between include Washington, D.C.,  Austin, Denver and Seattle.

Animal Collective’s 2017 adventure across the U.S. played to sellout and near-capacity audiences in the U.S. and Canada.  Boxoffice data submitted to Pollstar shows the band filling New York’s 1,800-seat Brooklyn Steel for a $54,000 nightly gross.  A late May performance at Montreal’s Corona Theatre sold 651 of 800 tickets available for a gross over $16,500.

A presale begins March 20 at 12 p.m. and general onsales launch March 23 at 10 a.m. All times local.
