Delivering all the hits you’d expect from a show described as “Classic Cher,” the legendary singer has more Las Vegas dates as well as another run booked at the Theater At MGM Harbor near Washington, D.C.

Fans have loved Cher’s residency at Park Theater at Monte Carlo Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.  A browse through Pollstar’s Boxoffice database shows nothing but sold-out shows.  For example, the three shows Cher performed during the May 3-6, 2017 weekend sold 12,412 total tickets and grossed $1,843,045.

The Theater at MGM National Harbor located in the D.C. suburb of Oxon Hill, Md., also packed ‘em in the last time Cher was in town.  The three shows performed during the weekend of Sept. 7-10 moved 7,342 tickets total for a collective gross of $1,386,765.

As a reminder that hindsight is 20-20, Cher’s career almost seemed destined to fade into ’60s nostalgia.  Hits with then-husband Sonny Bono when the two were known as Sonny & Cher included “The Beat Goes On” and “I’ve Got You Babe.”  The couple also appeared on TV shows of the decade, including an episode of the popular “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.” spy adventure series.

Television gave Sonny & Cher their own show on CBS, where fashion designer Bob Mackie’s stylish and revealing gowns worn by Cher seemed to attract as much attention as her comic bantering with Sonny and her early ’70 hits like “Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves” and Half-Breed.”  “The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour” ran for three years until the couple’s divorce resulted in the show’s 1974 cancellation.

Cher returned to television with a self-titled show on CBS in 1975.  It was everything that fans loved about her previous show, minus Sonny.

Back to the 21st century.  The newly announced shows have Cher commandeering the Theater at MGM National Harbor Aug. 4-5, 7, 9 & 11-12.

Cher’s return to Vegas and the Park Theater begins Oct. 31 and includes Nov. 2-3, 7, 9-10, 14 & 16-17.

Presales for all new dates begin March 20 and general onsales launch March 23.  Keep checking Pollstar’s Cher page for new developments.
