Wayne Sharp Exits CAM, Opens Shop As Canal Street Music Management
Wayne Sharp, formerly of Career Artist Management, has launched Canal Street Music Management in partnership with Crush Music. Rick Springfield and The B-52s are aboard as the Malibu, Calif.-based firm’s first roster artists.
Sharp has more than 30 years in the music business, most recently with CAM where he worked alongside the late Jordan Feldstein who passed away this past December and had steered the careers of such artists as Maroon 5, Sara Bareilles, Barenaked Ladies, and Miguel, among others.

Prior to CAM, he counts stints as Senior Vice President of Concerts at Madison Square Garden and with Wilkins Management, where he helped steer the career of artists including Harry Connick, Jr., Branford Marsalis, Joshua Redman and The ClickFive.
“Canal Street’s focus will be on iconic artists and will deliver them the respect, passion, and service they deserve,” said Sharp in a statement. “We feel we can bring new energy and contemporary ideas to established artists who wish to remain successful in today’s highly crowded and competitive recording, touring and branding fields.”
