This is a most excellent week for Panic! At The Disco fans.  Not only did the band announce the release date for its new album, but frontman Brendon Urie divulged the tour dates supporting it.

Produced by Jake Sinclair and dropping June 22 via Fueled By Ramen/DCD2 Records, Pray For The Wicked is Panic! At The Disco’s sixth studio effort and the first since 2016’s Death Of A Bachelor.  Urie began writing the album shortly after his Broadway run as shoe factory owner Charlie Price in the musical “Kinky Boots.”

“After being away in New York for months doing ‘Kinky Boots,’ I just wanted to hang out at home when I got back to L.A.,” Urie explained in a statement. “I was so revved up that I asked some friends to come over to my home studio to help me write about all the incredible things I’ve experienced the last couple of years.  Pray For The Wicked is my ‘thank you to our fans and the most fun I’ve ever had making an album.”

Panic! At The Disco also released a video for the album’s first single, “Say Amen (Saturday Night).”

The video, co-directed by Daniel “Cloud” Campos and Spencer Susser, is part of a trilogy that acts as a prequel to the videos for songs “This Is Gospel” and “Emperor’s New Clothes,” both directed by Campos.

The arena tour produced by AEG Presents includes support by Arizona and Hayley Kiyoko and begins July 11 in Minneapolis.  Last stop is Aug. 18 in the band’s Las Vegas hometown.

Panic! At Disco’s 2017 run, which included Misterwives and Saint Motel, did very well at the box office, often selling out or coming close, according to data submitted to Pollstar.  The band’s March 10 concert at The Palace Of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Mich., sold 14,023 of 14,170 tickets available and grossed $666,423.  The band played the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., the next night, and sold 12,463 out of 12,933 tickets and grossed $642,656.
