Norris, Kent & Horseman: Coalition Agency London Appoints New Directors

Anthony Norris and Owen Kent join Coalition Agency from Music Plus Sport as managing director and creative director, respectively. Former Coda MD Claire Horseman joins as non-executive director.

Norris’ 20-plus years of work experience include jobs at Live Nation, MTV and Endemol. He also led the executive team behind the so-called Olympic Park Spectator Experience program at the 2012 London Olympics.

Kent began his career at Live Nation’s Festival Republic, working across a range of disciplines. He’s worked on festivals including Reading, Latitude, Electric Picnic, Orlando Calling and Glastonbury.

Both Norris and Kent collaborated on the London 2012 Olympics project and co-founded event production company Eleven 11 Events shortly after. The company entered into a joint venture with Music Plus Sport.

Both men will be reporting directly to Guy Robinson, founder and CEO of Coalition Agency. 

Norris said he was “delighted” to join the team at Coalition, and to be able to help develop the company in to “a full-service entertainment agency.”

Kent has worked with Coalition in the past, when buying talent for festivals, so he has “first-hand experience that they are smart operators.”

Kent added, that “after discussing their long-term strategy, there was a great opportunity that I wanted to be a part of.  I’ll be working with the current portfolio and expanding into new territories, whilst creating new products to take to market.”

Joins Coalition from Coda

Claire Horseman was formerly managing director of Coda Agency, where she joined in 2013. She oversaw the company’s expanding operations and strategy. Her prior 20-year music industry experience includes jobs at Profile Records, edel UK, BMG and Sony/Columbia Records.

“I’ve watched Guy and the Coalition team build a strong and innovative business that has really impressed me,” said Horseman.

Robinson said, he was “extremely proud to welcome Anthony, Claire and Owen to our dynamic entrepreneurial team,” as they brought experience ranging from talent building, delivering and promoting live events, through to brand creation and management to his business.
