A Bakersfield, Calif., rap show that was to feature Nipsey Hussle, E-40 and others March 31 has been indefinitely postponed, with organizers promising refunds “as soon as possible.”

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Kern County Creative Culture Carnival has been postponed until further notice,” a statement from the event’s producer Khash & Co. reads, adding that “all online tickets will be refunded as soon as possible but may take up to 2-3 weeks. It also says tickets can be held to be swapped whenever a new event is announced.

Some fans on social media have left comments complaining about a lack of response to refund requests.

The event was to take place at Stramler Park in Bakersfield, Calif., with performers announced including Nipsey Hussle, E-40, Tee Grizzley, Sawettie, and Rico Nasty. Pollstar has reached out to the event as well as representatives for some of the artists. Pollstar has no record of Khash & Co. but Stramler Park last hosted Shooter Jennings at the venue in 2015.

Bay Area rapper E-40 is a big draw in California, with a May 2017 Oracle Arena show in Oakland drawing more than 5,000 fans, according to Pollstar data.  Los Angeles rapper Nipsey Hussle, who recently charted at No. 7 on Pollstar’s Elite 100 Artists Chart after releasing a new album, reported just under 1,110 tickets sold to the Showbox SoDo in Seattle in 2016, which grossed $37,000.
