Live Nation Acquires Wolfson Entertainment; Clients include Daryl Hall & John Oates, Loverboy
Wolfson Entertainment, whose roster includes Daryl Hall & John Oates and Loverboy, has been acquired by Live Nation.
The Jonathan Wolfson-owned company joins Live Nation’s collection of artist management ventures including Maverick, SAL&CO, The Blue Print Group and Patriot Artists Agency, according to Variety.
Wolfson began his career in the live entertainment biz in 1995 when he worked as a public relations assistant to legendary press agent Lee Solters, who counted Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra and many others among his clientele. Wolfson later launched his own PR firm with clients including Motown, Death Row Records, Cash Money Records and Daryl Hall & John Oates.
Wolfson helped revitalize Hall & Oates after he began managing the duo in 2009, building them from playing theaters to eventually selling out venues like the Staples Center, Forum and Hollywood Bowl in the Los Angeles area and Madison Square Garden in New York City.
“This is a great opportunity for the artists on my roster, and it’s very exciting to join the impressive Live Nation team,” said Wolfson in a statement. “I’m grateful to Michael Rapino for bringing us into the fold, and we look forward to a long, successful partnership.”
