There’s a lot going on with OZY Fest.  Not only will the festival host Common and Grouplove in July, but it will also welcome comedians, actors, chefs and other fascinating people.

OZY isn’t your typical festival. Presented by OZY Media in a partnership with Volvo, the event scheduled for July 21-22 at Central Park’s Rumsey PlayField likes to remind folks that CNBC referred to it as “New York’s answer to SXSW,” and the New York Times painted OZY as “part music festival, part TED talk, part food fair.”

With Common and Grouplove heading up the music offerings, OZY will also host comedians Chelsea Handler, Hasan Minhaj and Michelle Wolf, authors Malcolm Gladwell, Steven Pinker, Roxane Gay and Salman Rushdie, chefs Marcus Samuelsson and Roy Choi, actor/singer Taye Diggs, actresses Sanaa Lathan and

Grouplove opens for Imagine Dragons at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., Nov. 5.

More than 5,000 people attended last year’s OZY Fest.  During its first two years the event has hosted folks ranging from Jason Derulo to comedian Samantha Bee to former governor of Florida Jeb Bush.

A limited number of tickets, including two and one-day general admission as well as VIP passes, went on sale this week.

“OZY Fest is a massive party that descends upon New York City, bringing together the most diverse group of performers, thinkers, chefs and entertainers for an unprecedented exchange of ideas and the most fun you’ll have all year,” OZY co-founder/CEO Carlos Watson said in a statement.  “This year we’re giving you double the fun, taking over Central Park for two days of laugh-out-loud comedy, delicious food and the hottest music.  You don’t want to miss it!”
