Fans in North America will have a second chance to experience 5 Seconds Of Summer.  Currently touring the U.S., the Australian band returns for a summer journey beginning in August.

While the current outing is only one-month long, the summer edition of the “Meet You There” tour begins in late August and runs through early October.  Beginning in Toronto, destinations include Boston, Atlanta, Denver, Charlotte, San Diego, Seattle and Los Angeles.

One of the differences between the spring and summer tours is that 5 Seconds Of Summer’s third studio, Youngblood, drops June 22 on Capitol Records.  That means fans will be totally acquainted with the new tunes by the time August rolls around.

Plus, there’s the new single from Youngblood, “Want You Back,” that the band performed Wednesday night on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

“Growing up is what we had to do on Youngblood,” said 5SOS guitarist/vocalist Luke Hemming said in a statement. “Seven years as a band may seem like a long time, but we were teenagers when we started.  We had to look at each other and say, ‘Are we going to stop now, or do this forever? Because if we continue, then we have to go farther than we ever have before.’”

5 Seconds Of Summer won’t be laying low following the conclusion of the band’s spring North America tour in late April.  A run through Australia is on tap for May followed by dates in South America in June.

The last time 5 Seconds Of Summer toured extensively in North America was a 2016 run that opened June 30 with the first of two sold out shows at Mohegan Sun Arena where fans purchased all 11,195 tickets available, resulting in a $791,830 total gross.  The band’s last two stops on the tour – Sept. 23-24 at Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City were also sell outs, moving 19,240 tickets and grossing $864,584.

Tickets go on sale today (April 13) at 10 a.m. local time. You’re invited to keep checking Pollstar’s 5 Seconds Of Summer page for updates.
