Nick Cave & Bad Seeds Plant Nine Dates In The Americas
John Davisson – Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, Empire Polo Field, Indio, Calif.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds has booked nine shows across North and South America. Destinations include Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Washington, D.C., and Toronto.
The October run across the continents follows Cave & The Bad Seeds’ festival plays in Europe, beginning in late May and running through early July, with Heineken Ejekt Festival in Athens, Greece, All Points East Festival in London and Primavera Sound in Barcelona, among the fests welcoming Australia’s music legend.
Cave’s Bad Seeds include Warren Ellis (piano, keyboards, violin, tenor guitar), Martyn Casey (bass), Thomas Wydler (drums) Jim Sclavunos (vibraphone, percussion, piano), George Vjestica (guitar) and Larry Mullins (keyboards, piano).
Although Cave’s itinerary includes arena bookings such as Barclays in Brooklyn and the Forum in Los Angeles, the band will also play the 6,000 capacity Anthem in Washington, D.C.
Cave & The Bad Seeds last toured North America in late spring 2017, and boxoffice data for every show submitted to Pollstar depicted sell-out after sell-out, including two nights at New York’s Beacon Theatre where fans purchased 3,486 tickets and night’s gross reached $456,216.
Tickets for Buenos Aires went on sale today. General onsales for Mexico City; Santiago, Chile; and Montevideo, Uruguay begin April 14. Onsales for shows in U.S. cities and Toronto start April 16.
Of course, things could change. Best to bookmark Pollstar’s Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds page for future updates.
