Neko Case’s 2018 touring schedule is beginning to resemble one of those 1950s cinematic sci-fi monsters that keep growing and growing. Having previously announced her May-July collection of shows with Ray LaMontagne as well as her November run across Europe, Case already has plenty of traveling ahead of her.
Now the acclaimed singer/songwriter is filling September with gigs. The newly announced additions begin at Pabst Theater in Milwaukee Sept. 5 and conclude at Asbury Hall At Babeville in Buffalo, N.Y., Sept. 27.
Support on the new dates will be handled by Thao of the Get Down Stay Down.
The new touring leg will be in support of Case’s new album, Hell-On, arriving June 1. You might have heard the L.P.’s new single, “Bad Luck,” released last week. Check out the teaser video.
A touring veteran, Case has seen her share of filled-to-capacity rooms as well as sparsely filled halls. Data already submitted to Pollstar for early 2018 shows Case selling all 972 tickets for her Jan. 19 gig at the Georgia Theatre in Athens, Ga., resulting in the night’s gross exceeding $29,000. It was a somewhat lighter turnout four nights later when Case played The Walker Theatre in Chattanooga, Tenn. That evening’s ticket tally reached 614 out of 798 sold, and a total gross of $17,499.
General onsales for the September shows launch April 20 at 10 a.m. local time. Keep watching Pollstar’s Neko Case page for updates.
