Hank Abate, who joined Madison Square Garden as executive vice president of venue operations in 2016, has left the company, Pollstar has confirmed.
He directed all operations for MSG’s venues including Madison Square Garden, Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, the Beacon Theatre, the Forum in Inglewood, Calif., and Chicago Theatre. Among Abate’s duties at MSG were daily oversight of financial and operational matters. Madison Square Garden Co. is affiliated with Oak View Group, Pollstar‘s parent company.
“We are grateful for Hank’s contributions to MSG, and wish him continued success in all of his future endeavors,” an MSG spokeswoman said in a statement. “We are fortunate to have a talented group of employees, at all of our venues, who are committed to delivering a world-class experience for our customers.”
Abate joined MSG from Spectra, and spent 20 of his more than 30 years in the industry with SMG.
