Janet Jackson has more “State Of The World” shows to play as the superstar entertainer announces a summer outing beginning in Austin in July.
Produced by Live Nation, the 11-show tour includes stops in Cincinnati, Miami, Virginia Beach and Raleigh before closing at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa Aug.7.
Jackson returned to the concert stage when she launched the “State Of The World” tour in 2017. The run included dates from her postponed “Unbreakable” tour that were pushed back dueto the singer’s pregnancy.
Jackson’s boxoffice numbers from 2017 show her selling out some venues while others had some empty seats. One filled-to-capacity show was Dec. 17 at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Ga., where she moved 12,399 tickets and grossed $789,188. A little less impressive was her Sept. 17 performance at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla., that sold 4,422 tickets and grossed $352,045.
Citi is the official “State Of The World tour credit card and the company will run a presale beginning April 23 at 10 a.m. until April 26 at 10 p.m. All times local.
