A number of agencies have already confirmed their participation at the event, most of which are going to showcase acts for next year’s festival season. The list includes Coda, Primary Talent, X-ray Touring, United Talent Agency, ITB, ATC Live, MN2S, Pitch & Smith and OTM Touring.
Other agencies won’t be showcasing but are on board as partner, such as CAA and WME.
IFF takes place in the London borough of Camden, spreading across the venues Fest, Dingwalls, Camden Assembly and Lockside Camden. The morning conference sessions have yet been announced, the agency lineups will be announced in August.
IFF was designed by Greg Parmley (ILMC) and Ruud Berends (Buma Cultuur, ESNS, ETEP) to cater exclusively to festivals and agencies, who been booking acts for the upcoming festival season earlier and earlier, given the international festival boom of recent years.
WME agent Brian Ahern said, “Each year IFF continues to add more and more value to the festival booking process. Both the timing and attendance make for invaluable face-to-face interactions.”
Christof Huber, general secretary of European festival association Yourope, said: “IFF continues to be a key event for the music festival business, which is focused, relevant and an important date in the diary of all Yourope members.”
Parmley said it was “great to finally be revealing details of IFF 2018. We expect over 450 festivals represented this year, and with a packed schedule of conference sessions, showcases and networking events, it’s already looking like our strongest edition yet.”
He reminds the industry professionals, who are interested in attending IFF 2018, that the event is strictly limited to 600 delegates, and that all previous editions sold out weeks in advance.
