Børns Mixes Headlining Gigs With Festival Appearances

It was beginning to look as if Børns was going to stick to a festival-heavy schedule for 2018 but that was before a string of autumn headlining dates arrived on our loading dock.

Milwaukee’s Summerfest, Minneapolis’ Basilica Block Party and Chicago’s Lollapalooza are just a few of the North American festivals hosting Børns this year.  The Michigan-born singer/songwriter/musician will also hit European fests like Sziget in Budapest, Hungary; Rock In Summer in Warsaw, Poland, and Pukkelpop in Hasselt, Belgium.

Børns will see his name topping tickets for a September through October romp that includes George Lewis Jr.’s Twin Shadow recording project supporting on most dates.  Playing music from his recently released Blue Madonna album as well as from his Dopamine debut L.P., Børns launches the headlining run Sept. 17 at Beacham Theatre in Orlando, Fla.  Stops include Boston, Kansas City, Denver, Salt Lake City and Seattle before wrapping Oct. 26 at the Observatory in San Diego.

Børns has already played several headlining dates in 2018.  What’s more, data submitted to Pollstar shows sold-out gig after sold-out gig.  An example is Børns’ February stop at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., where fans purchased all 3,962 tickets and the night’s gross reached $165,035.

Fans who have signed up for Børns email list will get first crack at tickets via a presale launching May 1.  American Express and Spotify will launch presales at 12 p.m. EDT May 2.  General onsales launch at 10 a.m. local time May 4.
