Rich Homie Quan will spend summer 2018 playing shows in support of his debut album.  The “Rich As In Spirit Tour” launches mid-June in Phoenix and includes stops in Los Angeles, Denver, Indianapolis, New York and Tampa before concluding in the artist’s Atlanta hometown.

The tour’s handle comes from Quan’s debut album, Rich As In Spirit, that arrived in March via RAIS/Motown.  Quan had previously distributed his music on mixtapes such as 2012’s I Go In On Every Song and Still Goin’ In, and the LP is the first collection of new material the hip-hop artist has released in two years.  What’s more, because of a somewhat controversial past that includes feuding with Young Thug and a drug bust, some media outlets are hailing Rich As In Spirit as Quan’s “comeback album.”

Rich As In Spirit might be the first comeback attempt by a former pop success that doesn’t go out of its way to chase hits,” wrote HotNewHipHop.com’s Patrick Lyons.

Rich As In Spirit received plenty of praise during the weeks following its release.  Pitchfork’s Sheldon Pearce declared the album a “triumph of willpower and talent,” and Vibe’s Carl Lamarre stated that Quan is ready to “regain his status as one of the South’s most esteemed rappers.”

Boxoffice figures submitted to Pollstar include his appearances at events like “Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash” in Atlanta, “107.9’s Summer Jam” in Cleveland and Lollapalooza in Chicago.  Of his headline dates, Quan sold 1,046 tickets for his Feb. 2015 show at Olympia de Montreal in Montreal, Quebec, and achieved a $29,970 evening’s gross.

Tickets for the “Rich As In Spirit Tour” go on sale May 4 at 10 a.m. local time.  Meanwhile, you can inspect the dates on Pollstar’s Rich Homie Quan page by clicking here.
