NYC’s Blue Note Jazz Fest, Philadelphia’s Rock Allegiance, U.K.’s Nashville Meets London, and Southern California’s Music Taste Good announce lineups … Boston Calling locks down set times … Tennessee’s Pilgrimage ups its star power.

Chris Botti, Art Garfunkel, Gregory Porter, Al Di Meola, Gordon Lightfoot, Lettuce and The Manhattan Transfer are just some of the heavyweights gracing the lineup for Sony Presents Blue Note Jazz Festival taking place June 1-30 at various venues throughout New York City.

Sony is the official title sponsor and Inglot Cosmetics of Poland is the presenting sponsor.  Blue Note Entertainment Group and Inglot will release a limited edition Blue Note-branded cosmetic collection, and will present showcases of Polish jazz musicians.  Included is Polish pianist Wlodek Pawlik and his trio performing with special guest Randy Brecker May 28, and jazz fusion band Walk Away June 23.

The festival’s eighth edition includes Botti performing at the newly opened

The Blue Note Jazz Club will host Lightfoot, Di Meola, and a five-night residency by Lettuce, making its debut at the venue.

Other artists appearing are Eddie Palmieri, Robert Cray, Sergio Mendes, Tab Benoit, and Bilal performing with Victory.

This isn’t a one-ticket-for-all-performances type of festival and you will need to purchase individual tickets for the shows you want to experience.  A stop at Pollstar’s Sony  Presents Blue Note Jazz Festival page is your first step on this adventure.

Promoted as a “Philadelphia area” festival, Monster Energy Rock Allegiance actually takes place on the Jersey side of the Delaware River at Camden’s BB&T Pavilion and Wiggins Waterfront Park.  Planned for Oct. 6, headliners are Avenged Sevenfold, Limp Bizkit and Papa Roach.

The one-day festival will field nearly 20 bands, including Skillet, Bullet For My Valentine, Beartooth, Insane Clown Posse, GWAR, Of Mice & Men, Fozzy, Bad Wolves, A7X, and The Fever.

“We’re really excited to be invited to play Rock Allegiance this year!” exclaimed Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix in a statement.  “Our second time there, and we are happy to join A7X and Limp Bizkit – who we haven’t played with in many, many years – and we look forward to bringing it to Camden, N.J., this year full on!”

VIP and general admission tickets go on sale May 11 at 12  p.m. EDT.

The free-to-attend Nashville Meets London fest returns for year No. 3 when it sets up shop at London’s Canada Square Park in the Canary Warf commercial district July 28-29.

Taking its name to heart, the festival’s U.S. side includes Sam Palladio, Tyminski, The Sisterhood Band and Dylan Schneider.  Representing the U.K. are country pop group The Adelaides, singer/songwriter Frankie Davies, BCMA vocalist of the year Jade Helliwell, duo Holloway Road, multi-platinum-selling Keywest, alt-country’s Two Ways Home and female duo Worry Dolls.

The free festival means you just might have extra money in your pocket to spend at the more than 300 shops, bars and restaurants located in Canary Wharf.

Nashville Meets London is co-produced by Canary Wharf Arts + Events, Peter Conway Management and Nashville-based ARistoMedia Group.  U.K.-based DJ Baylen Leonard serves as host.

Rocking Marina Green Park in Long Beach, Calif., Sept. 29-30 is the Music Taste Good fest with headliners New Order playing the first night and James Blake performing on Sunday evening.

The two-day music, food and arts festival will also welcome Broken Social Scene, Joey Bada$$, Santigold and others.  Here’s the plan:

Sept. 29 – New Order, Joey Bada$$, Broken Social Scene, Santigold, Lil B, Princess Nokia, Blake Mills, Big Thief, Cherry Glazerr

Sept. 30 – James Blake, The Black Angels, Lizzo, Parquet Courts, The Church, Sun Kil Moon, Bill Callahan, Hailu Mergia

The folks at Boston Calling Events LLC certainly had their hands full as they plotted set times for The Killers, Jack White, Eminem, Fleet Foxes and other notables playing the Boston Calling Music Festival May 25-27 at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston, Mass.
