Utah is the launchpad when Drake embarks on the “Aubrey and The Three Amigos Tour,” beginning July 26 at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City. With special guest Migos on the ticket, stops include Denver, Saint Paul, Dallas and New Orleans with tickets going on sale this week.
The announcement follows Drake’s releasing two hit singles – “God’s Plan” and “Nice For What” – leading up to the release of his long-awaited Scorpion album, arriving this summer.
Of course, Migos collaborated with Drake on “Walk It Talk It.
One of the first things that jumps out from the “Aubrey and The Three Amigos Tour” schedule is the number of multiple nights Drake will play specific markets. Toronto, Chicago, Boston, Vancouver and Miami are among the cities hosting the artist for two nights. Drake will play two nights at Staples Center in Los Angeles and two nights at the Forum in nearby Inglewood. New York will also split up Drake’s stay, with two nights at Madison Square Garden Arena and two at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The tour concludes with two November nights in Atlanta.
Drake last toured North America in 2016 and left a wake of sold-out and near-capacity audiences in his wake. Data submitted to Pollstar shows Los Angeles fans purchased all 36,842 tickets for three nights at Staples Center, resulting in a $4,878,848 total gross. Drake’s booking agent, WME’s Brent Smith, told Pollstar that Drake’s 2016-17 world tour grossed in excess of $140 million, making it the highest-grossing tour by a hip-hop artist.
American Express will hold a presale for its members beginning May 15 at 10 a.m. and running through May 17 at 10 p.m. All times local.
General onsales launch May 18. Keep watching Pollstar’s Drake page for updates.
