Wiz Khalifa and Rae Sremmurd To Launch Co-Headline ‘Dazed & Blazed’ Shed Tour In July

Detroit, Chicago, West Palm Beach, Atlanta and Dallas are among the markets for the “Dazed & Blazed Summer 2018 Amphitheatre Tour” featuring rap / hip-hop superstars Wiz Khalifa and Rae Sremmurd.

Produced by Live Nation, the outing also includes Lil Skies and OT Genasis supporting on various dates.  The tour launches July 21 the DTE Energy Music Theatre, located north of Detroit in Clarkston, Mich.

You can’t lose with Wiz Khalifa sharing a ticket with Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee, better known as Rae Sremmurd.  Khalifa’s catalogue includes signature tracks like “Young, Wild & Free,” “See You Again,” and “Black and Yellow.”  Rae Sremmurd will keep the party going with songs  such as “No Type,” “Powerglide,” and “Brxnks.”

Khalifa is no stranger to co-headlining tours, having partnered with Snoop Dogg in 2016 and Fall Out Boy in 2015.  Data submitted to Pollstar includes his 2016 headlining gig at Stephen C. O’Connell Center in Gainesville, Fla., where fans purchased all 6,660 tickets available and the night’s gross was $73,248. 

Feted as a PollstarHotStar two years ago, Rae Sremmurd spent much of its 2017 road mileage touring with The Weeknd, but the group’s 2016 calendar included headline gigs like an October stop at Stage AE in Pittsburgh, Pa., that sold 1,928 tickets and grossed $75,155.  The group’s headline shows also included a performance at Arvest Bank Theatre At The Midland in Kansas City, Mo., where the ticket count was 1,912 and the night’s gross reached $69,630.
