Randy Jackson Signs To UTA
Booking agency UTA has signed musician, television personality and industry executive Randy Jackson.
The former “American Idol” judge has worked with countless artists, including performing and recording with Bob Dylan, Mariah Carey, Billy Joel, Bon Jovi, Carlos Santana, Keith Richards, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Weir, Journey and Jerry Garcia.
Jackson made the move to television in 2002 as a judge on “American Idol.” He spent 13 years on the show.
He also launched his own artist management firm and production company, Dream Merchant 21 Entertainment, which produced series such as MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew.” Jackson recently joined technology-enabled talent management company Faction, where he will bring his existing roster of pop and Latin artists and producers as well as digital talent.
The last time Jackson played a live show was in 2016 when he performed at California’s Malibu Guitar Festival. He also played a few one-off shows in 2013 and 2014, but sales from those concerts were not reported to Pollstar.
