An artist rendering shows Logjam Presents’ 1,500-capacity concert and special events center planned for Boseman, Mont., scheduled for completion in 2019.
Company owner Nick Checota said in a statement,” We are very excited to expand into the Bozeman market. Logjam presents has been looking at Bozeman for a few years but was waiting for the right location. We feel North 7th Avenue is a great, centrally located spot that will allow many of our customers to walk and bike to concerts”
Logjam already operates and promotes the 1,500-capacity Wilma, the 600-capacity Top Hat Lounge and 4,500-capacity KettleHouse Amphitheater in Missoula with the market encompassing Western Montana and Eastern Washington.
Checota said that Bozeman doesn’t have a facility that can handle 500 to 2,000 people, so many artists in that capacity range will route to other cities. He plans to change all that.
“The new venue will allow Bozeman concertgoers to see their favorite artists in their own community,” Checota said. “Logjam Presents takes a more personal approach than the large national promoters. We believe concertgoers should experience music in a great venue with great sound and production, and exceptional service.”
The future Bozeman facility will host about 80 concerts a year as well as private functions, the announcement said.
The project is slated to break ground late summer with a target completion date of late spring or early summer 2019.
