Troye Sivan’s year gets busy as the Australian singer/songwriter/actor/YouTube personality preps his new album for a summer release followed by dates to support it.  The “Bloom Tour” launches in Irving, Texas, in mid-September and includes stops in Miami, Atlanta, New York, Denver and Seattle before closing in Vancouver, British Columbia, in early November.

Sivan’s second studio album, Bloom, drops via Capitol Records Aug. 31.  Produced by Live Nation, the tour includes his first-ever concert at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.  Other venues include Boston’s Wang Theatre, Detroit’s Fox Theatre, Seattle’s Paramount Theatre and Toronto’s Sony Centre.

But don’t think Sivan will going out alone.  Joining the 22-year-old artist will be special guests Kim Petras plus Leland and Carlie Hanson on select dates.

Sivan’s sexual identity very much a part of his public persona.  The New York Times described him as “A New Kind Of Pop Star: Here, Queer and Used to It,” while Nylon declared Sivan to be a “budding gay icon” and Bloom “is his grand flowering.”

There’s no denying that Sivan appears to be on the cusp of greatness.  His Blue Neighbourhood debut sold more than 2.5 million units adjusted albums worldwide and is certified gold in the U.S.  With a new album backed by plenty of tour dates, Sivan just might see his star rise from theatres to arenas.

Promoters and venues certainly loved Sivan’s 2016 tour.  Data submitted to Pollstar show a run packed with sold-out and near-capacity results.  Sivan’s one-night-only performance at The Pageant in St. Louis, Mo., moved all 2,000 tickets and grossed $57,500.  Fans purchased all 6,000 tickets available for Sivan’s two nights at New York’s Terminal 5, making for a $232,502 final gross.

Fans who downloaded the official Troye Sivan app available via the Apple Store and Google Play will have a chance at advance tickets during the presale beginning June 5 at 9 a.m. PDT.  General onsales launch June 8.  Follow Pollstar’s Troye Sivan page for updates.
