“Music Midtown is one of Atlanta’s greatest traditions and Georgia’s largest music festival. It was the first of its kind and it has been exciting to watch it grow with Atlanta.”
Tickets go on sale June 15 at 10 a.m., with GA passes including RFID-enabled wristband and access to both days of the fest, with VIP and “Super VIP” options available.
The full performance schedule, “along with other exciting details,” will be released leading up to the event.
Post Malone was also just announced as headlining Mempho Music Festival in Tennessee, as his amphitheatre tour with 21 Savage and Bay Area rap group SOB X RBE continues through the end of June.
Imagine Dragons just wrapped a major European tour which CODA agent James Whitting told Pollstar grossed $20.4 million and had enough demand to support another 10-15 shows. The band has another North American leg starting in June and is on the road for most of the rest of the year.
Kendrick of course is still on top of the world after major tours on both sides of the Atlantic and a huge showing at the Grammys in February.
Music Midtown’s 2016 sold 64,524 tickets as reported to Polsltar, grossing $4.31 million with a lineup that included Deadmau5, Alabama Shakes, The Killers, Kesha and many others Sept. 17-18.
Last year’s fest featured Bruno Mars, Mumford & Sons, Blink-182, Haim, Future and many others Sept. 16-17.
