Maxwell’s “50 Intimate Nights Live” tour will take the neo-soul singer to theatres and performing arts centers across the country, with multiple nights in markets including Oakland, Calif., and Chicago.

Tickets go on sale Friday, July 27, at 10 a.m. local time.
After kicking off Sept. 27 at the Altria Theatre in Richmond, Va., dates and venues include Oct. 4-5 at the Theater at MGM National Harbor, Oct. 14 at the Saenger Theatre in Mobile, Ala., Oct. 25 at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis, Nov. 8-9 at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, Calif.,  Dec. 2-3 at the Chicago Theatre in Chicago, and it wraps at the Beacon Theater in New York Dec. 9.
Maxwell last month debuted his first new music since 2016, a new song titled “We Never Saw It Coming.”   A 20th anniversary reissue of his 1998 album Embrya will be released this fall. 
His most recent touring was last fall, with Boxoffice reports submitted to Pollstar including Oct. 8 at the Concord Pavilion (with Jazmine Sullivan and Raphael Saadiq), which sold 7,930 tickets and grossed $309,251, and Oct. 6 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles with the same lineup, which sold 10,198 tickets and grossed $871,612.
In 2016, Maxwell’s co-bill with Mary J. Blige made No. 90 on the Year End Top 200 North American Tours feature, with $13.1 million grossed.
