With inclement weather, New York’s Panorama Festival has been evacuated, canceling the first day which was to feature appearances by The Weeknd, Migos, The War On Drugs and others.
“We are evacuating the island due to severe weather,” the festival Tweeted around 5 p.m. local time Friday, July 27. “Please exit the way you entered. Ferries and shuttles are running and the pedestrian bridge is open. Panorama has been cancelled for today and we will see you tomorrow.”

The lineup for Saturday and Sunday are to include Janet Jackson, St. Vincent, Fleet Foxes, Gucci Mane, Odesza, The xx, David Byrne, Sza, and many others. The weather forecast for both days appears to be pleasant.
It’s unclear if Friday’s performers will do makeup slots on the other days, but refund information can be found on the festival’s website.
Last year’s event was forced to shut down one stage after a stage collapse.
