Pusha T Axes Half Of Daytona Tour
Michael Zorn / Invision / AP – Pusha T
Pusha T performs at the Budweiser Made In America Festival at Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia Sept. 3.
Pusha T’s headline tour was scheduled to start tomorrow in Milwaukee, but now that and numerous other dates are being called off.
The first gig at The Rave Eagles Club in Milwaukee is canceled due to a scheduling conflict, according to the venue website. Ticketmaster also lists Pusha’s gigs in the following cities as canceled: St. Louis, Mo.; Grand Rapids, Mich.; Cincinnati, Ohio; Cleveland, Ohio; Silver Spring, Md.; Baltimore, Md.; North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Charlotte, N.C.; San Antonio; and Dallas.
Refunds should be available at point of purchase.
This means that King Push’s tour opener is set to be Aug. 4 at Arvest Bank Theatre At The Midland in Kansas City, Mo., and he still has a total of 10 gigs listed on Ticketmaster in major markets including Detroit, Chicago, Las Vegas, Boston, Houston, Phoenix, and Los Angeles.
Valee is still listed as an opener on select dates, and Sheck Wes is still scheduled to play with Push in Phoenix.
The former Clipse member is pushing tunes from his latest project, Daytona, which was released in May and produced by Kanye West, the founder of the G.O.O.D. Music label of which Pusha T is president.
The last time Pusha T took a full headline tour was in 2016, when he brought Bia along for a month-long trek. A highlight from that year was his gig at New York’s PlayStation Theater, which grossed $63,943 and sold all 2,150 tickets available.
Pollstar reached out to Pusha T’s agency for comment, but hadn’t heard back at press time.
