H.E.R. To Top ‘Best Life’ Music Festival; Blockparty To Handle Ticketing For Miami Event

R&B musician and recent Pollstar cover artist H.E.R. tops the bill of the new “Best Life” music festival at Miami’s RC Cola Plant in Miami Sept. 15, with ticketing handled exclusively by blockchain-based ticketer Blockparty, in collaboration with WRLD Entertainment and MY.AM.I Music.
Rising multi-instrumentalist H.E.R., who’s had public shout-outs from superstars Rihanna, Usher, and Wyclef Jean has racked up 4 million Spotify streams per month and just released a new EP, while her agent at ICM Partners, Robert Gibbs, told Pollstar she sold out 22 headline club dates in under five minutes of the onsale on her North American tour last year.
The expected 8,000-capacity Best Life festiva will also feature “young R&B queen” Ella Mai, who has opened for Kehlani and is represented by CAA, along with Xavier Omar, Snoh Aalegra, R.LUM.R, and more.

Blockparty’s tech is designed to eliminate common frustrations with the live event experience such as fake tickets, lengthy event check-in, lack of festival security and predatory secondary market resellers.
Blockparty CEO Shiv Madan said, “We are thrilled to co-host a Blockparty-ticketed music festival in Wynwood because it’s an electric part of Miami that brings together different cultures in entertainment, art, and food. We want to eliminate the frustration of long lines, scalpers, and festival security with the Blockparty blockchain protocol. Event goers will not only be able to purchase and transfer event tickets on the app, but also participate in activities that allow them to enjoy the music in fun and interactive way including rewards.”
The news follows Blockparty’s first public use at Elements Lakewood Music Festival, which drew more than five thousand attendees over Memorial Day Weekend. Blockparty was used for ticketing of an exclusive DJ and performance event for hundreds of festival goers.
WRLD Entertainment has produced festivals such as Trap Circus, which featured Cardi B and Kodak Black as headliners. MY.AM.I. Music has produced events and concerts such as Kendrick Lamar and DJ Khaled.
