Koka Booth Amphitheatre Hires Taylor Traversari As New GM

After working for eight years as GM of Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh, N.C., Taylor Traversari is making the move to Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary, N.C.
The hiring was confirmed to Pollstar by a representative of Koka Booth Amphitheatre.
In addition to his responsibilities as GM at Red Hat, he was Raleigh Convention Center Assistant Director, according toThe News &Observer.
“I’m excited about the opportunity, it’s a beautiful place,” Traversari told the paper. “I think it’s time for a career change.”
The 5,500-capacity Red Hat is owned by the city and has tons of shows planned in the coming weeks, including O.A.R., Needtobreathe, Leon Bridges and Umphrey’s McGee. The venue is booked by Live Nation.
Red Hat made it to No. 60 on the 2017 Year End Top 100 Amphitheatres ticket sales chart, with 108,567 tickets reported.
Koka Booth Amphtiheatre is also city-owned and has a capacity of 7,000. It is set to host Black Violin, Old Crow Medicine Show, Vince Gill and Jason Isbell in the coming weeks. 
Cary is a municipality outside Raleigh and services the same market. 
An act that has played both venues in the last few years is Tedeschi Trucks Band. In 2015 the band brought Doyle Bramhall II as an opener to Koka Booth and grossed $197,121 off 4,662 tickets. In July of last year, TTB played with Hot Tuna at Red Hat and grossed $219,650 on 5,355 tickets.
