United Talent Agency has brought Cass Scripps into the fold. He will be working out of Nashville, where he was previously VP of APA’s regional office.
“We are very excited to welcome Cass to the UTA team,” UTA’s global head of music David Zedeck said in a statement. “He is well-respected in the community and his deep relationships make him a great asset to our expanding office in Nashville.”

According to the Tennessean he may not have parted ways with APA on the best of terms, as he reportedly claimed in a lawsuit he was forced out and assaulted by an executive.

Prior to UTA and APA Scripps also worked with Buddy Lee Attractions and founded Metro Talent Group and Consolidated Booking Services. He has counted Clint Black, Edwin McCain and Corey Smith as clients.

Jake Kennedy also made the move to UTA Nashville earlier this year, coming over from CAA. He also spent time working with Buddy Lee Attractions.

Nick Barnes joined UTA’s Nashville office last year as a digital strategy agent. Prior to his gig with the agency he worked as director of fan engagement and digital for Eric Church, while also working on Church’s management team at Q Prime.

UTA made waves in the music industry in April with the acquisition of the electronic music specialists of Circle Talent Agency
