After reuniting in June, MKTO now has agency representation via ICM Partners. With an international team of agents led by Mike Hayes and Scott Mantell, ICM Partners will handle worldwide representation in all areas.
The duo made up of Malcom Kelley and Tony Oller posted a video on Twitter June 12 declaring “Let it begin…..We’re back” and followed that up with an announcement a few days later saying they had signed with BMG. MKTO is co-managed by Tarik Kanafani and Jeff Golenberg at Silver Lining Entertainment and Nelson Paredez and Garrett Lindsay at The ESI Network.
MKTO, which split up in 2016, will release their comeback single “How Can I Forget” Sept. 7 via Crooked Paintings/BMG.
The group formed after Kelley and Oller became best friends on the set of Nickelodeon’s “Gigantic” and the guys released their debut self-titled album in 2014. The LP includes the breakout single “Classic,” which hit the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, earned double-platinum status in the U.S., and earned platinum and gold certifications in Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, United Kingdom, and Denmark.
“We are proud to welcome MKTO to ICM,” Hayes and Mantell said in a joint statement. “Prior to their hiatus, Malcom and Tony had created an enormous online presence all while racking up gold and platinum singles worldwide. We’re excited to be working with them and to continue to build upon where they left off as this new chapter begins when their new single drops.”
MKTO played a handful of dates in 2015 but their most recent full-fledged routing was in 2014, which featured headline shows in North America and Australia, as well as gigs supporting Demi Lovato.
